Many of the old farms that remain scattered about give us a glimpse of a life that was much different than today. If only these walls could speak, I bet they’d have plenty of stories to tell.
Farmland is plentiful on the eastern plains of Colorado. Many say there is “nothing” out east, but I believe otherwise. There are many different scenes to gaze upon.
Religion played a major role in the old settler’s lives. For many, going to church was an all day event due to the long distances traveled. This is Abbott Church in Lindon, CO. It is still well maintained to this day, although it’s closed to the public.
